Closed toy storage and open shelving for display in the family room, and swivels covered in indoor/outdoor fabric by Sister Parish make this space both chic and functional for a family with young kids. The Moroccan-inspired area rug from J&S by Stark in the softest wool is luxurious and easy to clean (as well as hides stains!) and provides the basis for the layers of color (corals, sage greens, and neutrals) seen through the room.

Wet Room with a Rustic Coastal Feel.

The embossed black vinyl wallpaper with a wavy pattern adds dramatic contrast and texture. The natural matchstick shade provides privacy while allowing light to filter in, preventing the space from feeling enclosed.

The curved tiled wall behind the tub follows the lines of the freestanding curved tub. The walnut slat wall creates privacy at the toilet area.

Countertop prep and cleanup space, and storage were maximized in this tiny kitchen.

The built-in banquette is now the family's favorite spot. A toekick heater in the tall cabinet on the left of the fridge provides supplemental heat on really cold days.

View at entry of tall, draped window & window seat of European style Lady’s Retreat. Angled walls are problematic for hanging art. Bookcases and a mirror added height to sloped walls. Straight walls adorned with botanical art and sconces for interest.

The new beams were introduced to mimic the original hand hewn beams found in the nearby living room. New oak trims and new windows reflect the styling of the existing throughout.
